MOTEUR-MEDICUS demonstration at RSNA

A grid-enabled data- and compute-intensive application evaluating medical image registration algorithms was demonstrated at the 2007 edition of the world congress or radiology, RSNA'07.
The application is orchestrated on the EGEE production grid infrastructure through the MOTEUR workflow manager developed in the context of the AGIR project. The application was interfaced to the GLOBUS MEDICUS medical data manager to access medical image storage directly. It demonstrated the use of a production grid in the medical imaging area and the interoperability between the EGEE middleware (handling the computational load) and the GLOBUS middleware (handling the data sources) though the MOTEUR service architecture. The demonstration won a RSNA "certificate of merit" award.
